Some Crystal Gold - An expensive specimen
2 Attachment(s)
At a recent prospectors even in Arizona I had the opportunity to photograph a real spectacular crystal gold piece.
I cant remember the weight, I recollect something more or less around a quarter ounce. I was told it was found somewhere in California. I was asked to estimate the speciemen value and estimated around $10,000 full retail - crystal pieces like this are rare and expensive. I just had a chance to process the pictures, I thought you might enjoy looking. Chris |

Putting a penny next to it would give perspective. Nice crystal though....

Re: Some Crystal Gold - An expensive specimen
I've seen some good gold xtal micromounts, but never have seen a macro specimen like that! I've got some fair UP copper xtals, I'll have to find them and take some photos. Dawg, whereabouts in the UP did you find yours? Greenland area perhaps?

How very cool.
I know nothing about this - thanks for the post. Guess I'm like the people who think steak is created wrapped in plastic packages. ST |
